BIOGRAPHY

Kailey Miller is a Chicago-born figurative artist based in South Florida. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Florida Atlantic University. Miller began attending art school at the age of seven, first exploring animals and landscapes before discovering a lasting fascination with the human figure.

Working primarily in oil painting, she also has experience in photography, drawing, reduction woodblock, and silkscreen printing.

THE PRACTICE

Miller’s recent work confronts the reality surrounding us and the dangers that exist within it, particularly through themes of death and violence. Rather than looking away from subjects treated as taboo, she turns toward them—transforming discomfort, vulnerability, and brutality into images that ask the viewer to find beauty inside what is feared.
